Rebuilding of Greensburg commercial interests destroyed May 4 made yet another sizeable advace last Friday as BTI?Greensburg co-owners and brothers, Kelly and Mike Estes (third and fourth from left, respectively) led the groundbreaking of the site of their new, “green” implement dealership just to the east of city limits.  Deere and Company Kansas City Branch Manager Bob Timmons was one of several who spoke before the shovels were donned, saying the facility will be a “prototype” for future Deere dealerships being built in an energy sustainable manner.  Mayor John Janssen earlier lauded the event as the “first commercial building to not only come back, along with Shank Motors, but to come back as green as it is.”  Counting BTI employees, around a hundred people braved a raw south wind for the 20-minute event.  HASTCO of Emporia will be the general contrator for the project.
