The Ritz theater in Stafford will be running a special three-day showing of the movie, The Fault in our Stars. Show times are 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday June 27-28 and at 3 p.m. on Sunday June 29.
The Fault in Our Stars is a 2014 American romantic comedy-drama film directed by Josh Boone, based on the novel of the same name by John Green. The film stars Shailene Woodley, Ansel Elgort, and Nat Wolff, with Laura Dern, Sam Trammell, and Willem Dafoe in supporting roles. Woodley plays Hazel Grace Lancaster, a sixteen-year-old cancer patient who is forced by her parents to attend a support group, where she subsequently meets and falls in love with Augustus Waters, portrayed by Ansel Elgort.
The Fault in Our Stars was released on June 6, 2014 in the United States. The film has received positive reviews from critics and retained the No. 1 spot at the domestic and worldwide box-office during its opening weekend, and currently has a gross of over $164 million against its budget of $12 million, making it a financial success. The soundtrack was released in North America on May 19, 2014 while the score is scheduled to be released on July 8, 2014.
