Barclay College’s Athletic Director Royce Bryan announced this week that Kiowa County High School senior Caleb Davis has signed a letter of intent to play basketball for the Barclay Bears next Fall.
“I am just pretty excited for the college experience here at Barclay,” said Davis.
The aviation major is coming off of an MVP season for the Kiowa County Maverick Varsity basketball team.
"Even though there is a strong possibility we might only have Caleb for a year or two because of his chosen major, he is well worth it,” said Bryan. “Anytime you can get a young man of his character to come be a part of your program, it is a no-brainer. He will make us better both on and off the court."
Davis will be a Barclay legacy as his father Steve and mother Marlieta are both Barclay alumni. The elder Davis played for the Bears from 1984 until his graduation in 1988 and holds the second spot on the all-time scoring list with 1,840 points.
