  • Roe Ann Cushenbery was born February 19, 1935, to Artemus and Leona (Lindsey) Hayse in Greensburg, Kansas. She graduated from Mullinville High School in Mullinville, Kansas.

  • Roe Ann Cushenbery was born February 19, 1935, to Artemus and Leona (Lindsey) Hayse in Greensburg, Kansas.   She graduated from Mullinville High School in Mullinville, Kansas.   She was married three times and had four children.   Roe Ann was a woman of many talents and worked hard to support her family. She worked at Cross Manufacturing,     was an operator for “Ma Bell” and a cook at the Kansan Motel in Greensburg, KS.  She worked for several years for Medicine Lodge, KS school district as a cook in the school cafeteria and also cooked at a restaurant in Medicine Lodge. 
    She liked to craft and crochet, making things for people. Mainly, she loved raising kids and helped with raising several grandchildren.  She loved old time country music and bluegrass, and spent many an hour watching RFDTV (especially Hee Haw).
    Roe Ann passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 6, 2013 at Homestead Nursing Home in Sherman, TX. She is preceded in death by her parents, Artemus and Leona Hayse and one brother, Charles (Bub) Hayse.  She is survived by three brothers, Frank Hayse and his wife Merlyn of Wellington, KS , John Hayse and his lady Kelly of Abilene, TX, and Merlin Hayse and his wife Brenda of Poplar Bluff, MO, one sister, Jean Shuck and her husband Ed of Wichita, KS, two sons, Steve Zimmerman of Billings, Montana, Randy Decker and his wife, Gina, of Whitewright, Texas, two daughters, Cynthia Anderson of Eureka Springs, Arkansas, and Debra Boyett of Seattle, Washington, thirteen grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
