Ardery had another stand out season earning him a top spot on voter’s ballots and the stat sheet.

Ardery was second on the team in points per game (12.4), second in total season points (260), first in field goal percentage (.540) and made the most trips to the free throw line sinking 42-of-76 (.550) . Defensively he was second in blocked shots (16), third in steals (17), first in offensive rebounds (55), second in defensive rebounds (88) and second in total rebounds (143). Ardery also led the team in personal fouls (63).

Ardery earned a “Defensive Player of the Year” honor in the Signal’s Maverick Basketball MVP voting last season and also earned a “Defensive Player of the Year” honor at the end of the 2012-2013 football season.

“I think he was the most improved player from last season and you could tell he was working his butt off all year,” said one voter.

“He was everything we could hope for in a Maverick, he worked hard, he has talent and he looked like he was having a good time,” said another voter.
