Kiowa County High School athletes Creighton McDonald and Rustin Ardery have been selected to represent the Mavericks at this year's Kansas 8-Man All Star game as members of the Division I West team.
McDonald, a 5'8" senior, compiled 1,034 total rushing yards (an average of 102 yards per game) during the 2012-2013 season including 12 rushing touchdowns and 84 total points.
Ardery, a 6'3" senior, was standout defensive player and led the Mavericks in totals tackles (114) with a pair of sacks.
Both earned end-of-season MVP awards, with McDonald taking home the Kiowa County Signal's All Around Player of the Year Award and Ardery winning Defensive Player of the Year, receiving votes on 84 percent of ballots.
The 8-Man All Star Game, hosted by the Kansas 8-Man Football Association will take place in June.
