Funeral services were on Monday, April 16, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church of Greensburg with Pastor Terry Mayhew presiding.
Arthur Wendell McFadden, 91, died Friday, April 13, 2012 at Trinity Manor of Dodge City, Kansas. He was born July 9, 1921, the son of Bennie W. and Laura Newell McFadden. He was a 1939 graduate of Mullinville High School and Kansas State University. He was a lifetime farmer and stockman in Mullinville, Kansas.
He was a member of the First United Methodist Church and Kiowa Masonic Lodge #293 both of Greensburg, the KCCH Scottish Rite and Midian Shrine, both of Wichita.
He was a veteran of the United States Navy, serving in World War II in the South Pacific. In 1946 he married Estella Kruse. Survivors include one son, Carl McFadden of Mullinville and several cousins, nieces and nephews and their families. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Wayne McFadden. Funeral services were on Monday, April 16, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church of Greensburg with Pastor Terry Mayhew presiding. Burial followed in Fairview Cemetery, Greensburg with Military and Masonic honors. Memorials are suggested to the Shriners Children’s Hospital and the Scottish Rite Care Center, both in care of Fleener Funeral Home, 514 S. Main Street, Greensburg, KS 67054.
