Lurlene M. Boggess, 87, died March 21, 2012 at Home Again Senior Living, Haviland, Kansas. She was born March 6, 1925 in Arkansas City, Kansas the daughter of Roy and Edna (Norris) Hagan. She was a homemaker and attended the Haviland Friends Church. A military wife she had lived in Maine, West Virginia, Nebraska, California, and France, retiring to San Antonio, Texas, in 1968, where she lived forty years before moving to Haviland to be close to her daughter. she had been a resident of Home Again Senior Living for the past year. On June 5, 1942 Lurlene married Brady Boggess in Newkirk, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death. She is survived by her daughter Sandra Clark, Haviland, one brother Tom and wife Judy Hagan, Arkansas City, one sister Annie Weekley, South Haven, Kansas, seven Grandchildren, fourteen Great-grandchildren and the first Great-great-grandchild due to arrive in July, and many nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by a daughter Shelia Buckingham, a brother Albert and five sisters Rachel, Lila, Loudel, Coleen and Barbara. Funeral services and celebration of her life was held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 24, 2012 at the Haviland Friends Church, Haviland, with Pastor Donnie Hinshaw officiating.
