The annual Nathan's Famous Hot Dog Eating Contest is everyone's favorite Fourth of July tradition, and its back for its 103rd year in 2019 on Thursday, July 4. Live from Coney Island in New York, the contest features some of the most famous competitive eaters in the world. 

Here's what you need to know about the competition, including how and when to watch the event.

When: 10:45 a.m. EST (women's) and noon EST (men's) on Thursday, July 4.

Where: Coney Island

How to watch: Watch live on ESPN 2 and ESPN 3, or stream it live on the Watch ESPN app.

Who's competing: World record holder Joey Chestnut will be competing for his 12th championship. He's won 11 of the last 12 years — his only loss was to Matt Stonie in 2015, when Stonie broke Chestnut's eight-year win streak. Women's champion Miki Sudo is going for her sixth consecutive championship, having taken the crown from Sonya Thomas in 2014.
