Los Angeles Rams at Indianapolis Colts prop bets picks and predictions
Week 2 features a cross-conference matchup Sunday between the Los Angeles Rams (1-0) and Indianapolis Colts (0-1). Kickoff is set for 1 p.m. ET at Lucas Oil Stadium. Below, we look at the Rams at Colts prop bet odds and lines, and make our best NFL picks, predictions and bets.
The Rams are coming off a 34-14 win over the Chicago Bears in their season opener, dominating on both sides of the ball in QB Matthew Stafford's debut with L.A. Stafford threw for 321 yards and 3 touchdowns as he posted the league's highest passer rating in Week 1.
The Colts lost 28-16 to the Seattle Seahawks in their first game of the season. QB Carson Wentz threw for 251 yards and 2 touchdowns in his first game with Indianapolis, but the defense couldn't contain QB Russell Wilson and Seattle's passing attack. Wilson tossed 4 touchdown passes on only 23 attempts.
Rams at Colts prop bet picks and predictions
Colts RB Jonathan Taylor OVER 62.5 rushing yards (-123)
Taylor carried the ball 17 times in the season opener but had just 56 yards against Seattle. The Rams have been susceptible to the run in the last two seasons and Bears RB David Montgomery rushed for 108 yards on them last week with only 16 carries - one of which was a 41-yard scamper.
I like Taylor to get even more work against the Rams and break off at least one decently long run to increase his average. He was running well at the end of last season as he ended the year with seven straight games of 74-plus yards.
Rams WR Van Jefferson OVER 2.5 receptions (-149)
Jefferson caught just 2 passes in the opener but they totaled 80 yards. It wasn't as if he didn't get playing time, because he was out there for 69% of the snaps, and played just four fewer than Robert Woods. The Rams just didn't have many opportunities with only 50 offensive plays run.
Jefferson should catch at least 4 passes in this one.
Colts RB Nyheim Hines OVER 3.5 receptions (-114)
Hines had eight games last season of at least 4 catches and he began this year with 6 receptions on 8 targets against the Seahawks in Week 1. Wentz will check down often against the Rams' top-down defense and pass rush, so I expect Hines to get a lot of looks from his quarterback.

Rams QB Matthew Stafford OVER 1.5 passing TDs (-196)
Stafford threw 3 touchdown passes in his Rams debut, and that was only on 26 total attempts. Assuming they don't strike as quickly as they did in the opener with 56- and 67-yard touchdowns, Stafford should get more opportunities to throw the ball.
Bet the Over on Stafford throwing 1.5 touchdown passes, especially after seeing Wilson toss 4 scores against the Colts in Week 1.
Colts WR Michael Pittman UNDER 3.5 receptions (-149)
Pittman was only targeted 4 times and caught 3 passes in Week 1 despite Wentz throwing it 38 times. He wasn't a huge part of the game plan and now he'll have to contend with the Rams' outstanding secondary.
He'll have a hard time racking up the receptions Sunday.
