HAVILAND — Earl “Wayne” Brown, 85, passed away Sunday, November 3, 2019, at Pratt Rehabilitation and Residence Center. He was born on April 16, 1934, in Wayne, Oklahoma to Earl and Mattie (Bryson) Brown. On December 24, 1955, he married Mary Lou (Rector) Brown in Dodge City. She survives.

Wayne enjoyed coon hunting, raising cattle, and working. He retired four years ago as a heavy equipment operator from J&R Sand in Liberal.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Lou of Haviland; sons, Neal Brown of Wellsford, and Audie (Amanda) McFarlen of Texoma, Oklahoma; brother, Joe Brown of Coldwater; grandchildren, Amy (Craig) Tucker of Pratt, Renee (Glenn) Lightcap of Kinsley, Toby (Molly) Brown of Lawrence, Taylor and Blayze McFarlen, both of Texoma, Oklahoma; six great-grandchildren; and eight great-great grandchildren.

Wayne is preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Rieta Broce; four brothers; and three sisters.

Visitation will be Friday, November 8, 2019, from 9:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. with family receiving friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Larrison Mortuary, 300 Country Club Road, Pratt. Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, November 9, 2019, at Larrison Mortuary, with Pastor Mike McGovney presiding. Burial will follow at Haviland Cemetery, Haviland.
