Linwood murder trial continued until January
LEAVENWORTH — A jury trial for a rural Linwood man accused of killing his girlfriend has been continued until January.
The case of Dan S. Flannagan had been scheduled to go to trial next week in Leavenworth County District Court. But a judge granted a continuance Tuesday.
Flannagan, 54, is charged with intentional second-degree murder in connection to the death of Constance Perryman.
Perryman’s body was found April 6, 2018, on property located off of 198th Street south of Linwood. She reportedly died from a shotgun wound.
Flannagan and Perryman had been living together on the property.
Flannagan’s trial was scheduled to begin Monday. But Flannagan’s attorney John Bryant requested a continuance so a medical expert can review a coroner’s report on behalf of the defense.
