Quality was evident from top to bottom at Kiowa County's 2019 Beef Show during their fair last week.

Several veteran showmen and a few novice competitors showed up Tuesday, July 16 in Greensburg for the 2019 Kiowa County Beef Show, part of the on-going Kiowa County Fair. They put their competitive skills to use, preparing and showing top quality beef.
In the senior showmanship division, Ellery McMurry won the grand champion ribbon, while Brock Hassiepen went reserve grand and Halle Young received a blue.
First-year 4-Her Charlee Jantz topped the junior division, followed by Adele Janssen, who was awarded reserve champion. Carter Kishpaugh, Boone McDonald, and Sauni Pyu received blue ribbons, while Sayre Hassiepen, Aiden Roenbaugh, Carson Roenbaugh, and Jarret Wirth all received red ribbons.
In the market beef competition, Brock Hassiepen won grand champion ribbon, while Ellery McMurry was reserve grand.
Carter Kishpaugh and Sauni Pyu received blue ribbons for their animal’s market readiness, and Halle Young earned a red.
Charlee Jantz topped both the breeding and market heifer classes, winning grand champion.
In the cow/calf class, Aiden Roenbaugh earned the honor of grand champion, and Ellery McMurry was the reserve grand champion winner.
Adele Janssen won the bucket calf class, followed by Sayre Hassiepen with reserve grand champion, and Jarret Wirth with a blue ribbon.
Janssen also topped the second-year bucket calf class, with Boone McDonald receiving reserve grand champion, and Carson Roenbaugh receiving a blue.
Bodie McDonald showed a second-year open class bucket calf and received a blue ribbon. Booker McDonald  showed in the “fun class” for a blue ribbon.
Jantz and her little brother, Cooper Jantz, both showed in the open class market beef. Cooper received grand champion and Charlee received reserve grand champion.
Jantz continued her dominating day of showing when she was awarded the buckle for overall market beef at the 2019 Kiowa County Fair with her market heifer.
