God's creation will be celebrated through quilters handiwork from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. March 31 at First Southern Baptist Church in Pratt.

Quilts galore will be on display at the First Southern Baptist Church “Wonderful Creations” event from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday, March 31 at the church located at K-61 and Maple Street.
Church member Pam Krehbiel said the event is designed to share the ministries available in the church and to give God the glory for His creation that he has given us.
Dozens of quilts will be on display in the main sanctuary during this free event. One quilt is hand painted from South Africa and was quilted by church member Glen Davis.
Other cloth items like table runners, wall hangings and more will be placed throughout the sanctuary on pews and chairs.
During the display, wildlife videos by Mike Blair will be shown on the sanctuary screens. The videos are a reminder of God’s creation of wildlife. The event will be a time to pause and remember all of creation God has made for people to enjoy, Krehbiel said.
Ministries hosting the event are the Mission Team whose goal is to promote missions around the corner and around the world.
Helping Hands Ministry creates items out of fabric and uses their God given talents to bless others with their creations.
The Hope Bags Ministry uses Helping Hands cloth bags and fills them with personal hygiene items for distribution at the Hope Center. Hope Bags Ministry also works with schools as a mission project. School staff provides lists of student needs and the ministry fills the bags to meet those needs.
