Mindy Heinson joins the K-State Research and Extension as a Kiowa County agent.
MANHATTAN, Kan. Mindy Heinson will join the staff of K-State Re- search and Extension – Kiowa County as a Family and Consumer Sciences agent, effective March 11, 2018. Kiowa County’s office is in Greensburg.
She earned her bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from West Texas A & M.
Heinson has most recently been employed by USD 422 in Greensburg as district office secretary.
Family and consumer sciences extension agents provide leadership in their communities by developing and delivering educational programming for family-related issues including nutrition, food safety, parenting, financial management, health and safety.
Local extension faculty are jointly employed in a partnership between K- State Research and Ex- tension, headquartered on the Kansas State University campus in Manhattan, and the local Ex- tension board.
The role of K-State Re- search and Extension is to encourage the adoption of research-based information to improve life quality for Kansans. K-State Research and Extension is the short name for the Kansas State University Agricultural Experiment Station and Cooperative Extension Service.
