HUTCHINSON — Sue H. Martin, 74, died Saturday, February 10, 2018, at Hospice House, Hutchinson. She was born March 12, 1943, in Yazoo City, Mississippi, to Robert and Rebecca (Hood) Heidel.
Sue graduated from high school in Benton, Mississippi, and attended Holmes Community College in Goodman, Mississippi. She was of the Methodist faith. Sue was a homemaker and worked as a secretary for Kiowa County Hospital in Greensburg.
On June 6, 1989, she married Vernon Martin. He survives.
Other survivors include: son, Ray Johnston of Winfield; daughter, Michele Morris and husband Dustin of Kingman; grandchildren, William D. and Hunter L. Morris of Olathe, MacKenzie Johnston of Topeka, Brook Cullum of Dallas; and three stepchildren and their families.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Rob Heidel.
Cremation has taken place. At Sue’s request, there will be no public services. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice and HomeCare of Reno County, in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501.
