Florence Mae “Patty” Ross, 87, passed away Thursday, February 23, 2017 at Parkwood Village, Pratt. She was born February 2, 1930 in Alliance, Ohio to Frank and Rosalia (Brantingham) Winn. On June 4, 1950, she married Paul Lindberg Ross in Alliance, Ohio. He survives.
She was a member of Haviland Friends Church, Friends Women Missionary Society, Barclay College Ladies Auxillary and EHU. Patty loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She also enjoyed quilting, cooking, sewing and other hand crafts. She was a Sunday School Teacher for 25 years, Friends Bible College Men’s Dorm Mom for 4 years, and worked at the Greensburg Hospital and Haviland Resthome each for 4 years. She was a selfless and nurturing woman who always put everyone else's needs ahead of her own.
Survivors include her husband, Paul; one son, David (Doreen) Ross of Gardner; five daughters, Diane (Richard) Rohling of Pratt, Keenan (Joe) Kleymann of Omaha, NE, Colleen (Dave) Overcast of Nampa, Idaho, Lynne Ann (Steve) Borchers of Wichita and Kayleen (Joe) Stevens of Haviland; one brother, Donovan Winn of Wynona, Ohio; one sister, June Chambers of Terra Haute, Illinois; 17 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents; brothers Charles Winn and Harold Winn; and sister, Mary Krebs.
Visitation will be Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday from 1 to 8 p.m. with family receiving friends Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. at Larrison Mortuary, 300 Country Club Road, Pratt, KS.
Funeral service will be Monday, February 27, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. at Haviland Friends Church with Pastors Todd Follette and Jeff Blackburn presiding. Burial will follow at Haviland Cemetery, Haviland, KS.
