The Kiowa County High School Lady Mavericks basketball team remain undefeated this season, defeating the Pawnee Heights Lady Tigers 53-15 in a non-confererence game in Rozel.

Sierra Lingafelter led the Lady Mavericks scoring with 10 points in the game – nine of them scored in the first quarter.

Lingafelter scored with four twos and a free throw in the first quarter. Ashlin Oberle scored five points with two two point shots and a free throw. Ashlin Davis scored two twos. Brecken VandenHoek and Alex McVey each scored two points.

The Lady Mavericks ended the first quarter ahead 20-5. Their high lead carried over into the second quarter with the Lady Mavericks scoring 20 points and holding Pawnee Heights to points.

VandenHoek led scored four points with two twos. Oberle, McVey, Tierra West and Janessa Zenger each scored one two point shot. Lingafelter scored with a free throw and Madalyn Owens had two free throws.

At half time, the Lady Mavericks were up 35-7.

The Lady Mavericks scored 11 points in the third quarter. Together, Davis and West put six points on the board with each scoring two two point shots. Alexis Cecil scored with two points and Oberle scored with a free throw.

At the end of the third quarter, the Lady Mavericks were ahead 35-10.

The Lady Mavericks scored seven points in the fourth quarter. Sabrina scored four points with two two point shot. Cecil had one two and Davis had a free throw.

With their 53-15 victory, the Lady Mavericks record stands at 9-0. Kiowa County has their homecoming games Jan. 13 against Kinsley.
