Artrageous, a nationally renowned touring group of artists and is scheduled to appear in Greensburg.
“It combines a lot of different things together – music and dance, painting and visual arts,” said Stacy Barnes, director of the 5.4.7 Art Center.
The performance is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. June 11 at the Twilight Theatre and Community Auditorium. Tickets are on sale now to members of the theater at $12 for adults and $8 for youth under 17. The general public can begin buying tickets May 2 at a cost of $15 for adults and $10 for youth under 17.
At 2:30 p.m. Saturday June 11, the public is invited to a free community outreach program at the Twilight Theatre in which they can meet the performers.
Bringing Artrageous to Greensburg has been a project of the 5.4.7 Art Center and the Twilight Theatre. They applied for and were awarded a $5,000 grant from the Kansas Creative Arts Industry Commission. “This has been a team effort,” Barnes said.
Karen Long, a Haviland resident and volunteer at the theater, made a donation, and business sponsorships are being sought.
“I think it will be an unforgettable experience,” Barnes said. “People should come because it’s going to be awesome.
