Red Cross and Salvation Army are collecting monetary donations. Donations can be mailed to the Cannonball Trail Chapter, 114 North Main, Pratt, KS 67124, online at or by calling 1-800-733-2767. Donations to the Salvation Army can be made at 1-800-725-2769 or at Checks may be mailed to The Salvation Army, 3637 Broadway, Kansas City, MO 64111. United Way of the Plains has established a fund called "Greens for Greensburg." Those wanting to donate can call the Wichita office at 316 267-2321. For more information visit United Way in Kansas has a call center for persons wishing to donate or volunteer. In Kansas dial 211 or 1-888-413-4327. The Haviland community has established a relief fund. Monetary donations can be sent to Haviland State Bank, P.O. Box 348, Haviland, KS 67059. Sunflower Resource Conservation and Development (RC&D) Area, Inc. in cooperation with Kansas Conservation Partners will collect needed items (new and/or used) and charitable donations for the Greensburg area tornado survivors. Items requested are 12 to 20 gallon sized covered plastic storage containers/totes; work gloves in men's medium through extra-large sizes; waterless hand cleaner, any size; and strapping or package tape. Items can be dropped off at local conservation district offices, 299 Northeast S.R. 61, Pratt, 800 West Third, Medicine Lodge, and 1137 East Highway 54, Kingman. Tax deductible donations to Sunflower RC&D Area, Inc. for the Greensburg Area Relief Fund will also be accepted. South Central Community Foundation has established a Greensburg rebuilding fund. Checks should be made payable to "South Central Community Foundation" with a memo to "Greensburg Future Fund." Donors can earmark the contributions for education, health care or community rebuilding.
