Marie Miller, 93, passed away on Nov. 15, 2011, at Hilltop House, Kansas.  She was born March 24, 1918 on the rural Mullinville, Kansas family farm, the daughter of Harry Leroy Harmon and Nora May Kilgore Harmon Savely.  

Marie attended grade school at the Forest Grove school north of Mullinville and later attended Greensburg High School, graduating in 1936.  She belonged to Tillers and Toilers EHU, Kroweldeen Club, and Thimblina Club, and was active in church and community all her life.  

Joined in marriage to William Eugene Wirth on Oct. 21, 1939, she was a homemaker on their farm southwest of Haviland.  He preceded her in death Aug. 5, 1985. 

On Oct. 25, 1989, she married Harvey H. Miller of Greensburg.  He preceded her in death Sept. 8, 2000.

She is survived by son Wm. Chris Wirth and his wife Patricia of Greensburg; granddaughter Deandra Kay, her husband Brian Alderman, and great-granddaughter Lyla Marie of Firestone, Colorado; grandson Jeffrey William Wirth, wife Desiree and great-grandson Jarret William of rural Haviland; sister-in-law Betty Harmon of Greensburg; son Gerald Miller and wife Karen of Bradenton, Florida; and daughter Carol Miller Brooks of Rose Hill.  She was preceded in death her brothers Ira Clyde Harmon and his wife Catherina of Garden City, Nevin Harmon of Greensburg, and her sister, Katherine and her husband Carl King of Eunice, Louisiana.

A graveside service will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, Nov. 21, 2011, at Fairview Cemetery, Greensburg with Pastor Terry Mayhew officiating. A visitation will be held 5-7 pm. Sunday at the First United Methodist Church, Greensburg. Memorials may be made to Sonshine and Rainbows Daycare Center at the Greensburg United Methodist Church, and the 5.4.7 Arts Center of Greensburg, all in care of Greensburg State Bank. Funeral arrangements by Fleener Funeral Home of Greensburg, Kansas.
