Though lacking some height, the extremely athletic team entered the tournament on a 3-game win streak. First year returning head coach Staci Derstein said the loss to the Black Bears was a disappointing ending, but felt the final weeks of the play were some of the best of the season.]]></description>

		<description><![CDATA[On February 12, 2013, twelve adventurous young scientists traveled to Hays to compete in a national science competition known as the &#8220;Science Olympiad.&#8221;  The Science Olympiad has been developed to increase science awareness and promote higher level thinking skills for young adults.  Currently, 48 states participate in the Olympiad.  The contest features 24 different categories.   All aspects of science are covered from biology to astronomy and everything in between.]]></description>
