Greensburg – Lois Marie Koehn, 90, died August 12, 2009 at her home in Wichita. She was born August 1, 1919 in Greensburg, Kansas, the daughter of Lincoln and Leah Peaster Dirks. She graduated from Mullinville High School in 1937 and lived in Greensburg until her move to Wichita in 2003. She was a homemaker, member of the Greensburg Mennonite Church and active in Kiowa County 4-H.
On October 29, 1939, she married Virgil H. Koehn in Greensburg. He preceded her in death on November 1, 2006.
Survivors include one son, Harry and his wife, Linette Koehn, of Greensburg; three daughters; Beverly Seyfert and her husband, Charley of Wichita; Shirley Unruh and her husband, Paul of Greensburg; and Norma LaJudice of Arlington, Texas; two sisters, Velma Wenger of Moundridge and Zella Unruh of Scott City; eight grandchildren, Kevin Seyfert and wife, Jennifer of Phoenix, Arizona; Austin Unruh and wife, Anna, of Basehor, Kansas; Nicole Brokar and husband, David of Kinsley, Kansas; Carmen Selzer and husband, Todd of Sharon Springs, Kansas; Ashley Reddout and husband, Jeremy of Wichita; Dana Koehn of Sedgwick, Kansas; Amy LaJudice and Jason LaJudice, both of Arlington, Texas; and six great-grandchildren; Robyn and Adrianne Selzer, Jackson Unruh, Holley Unruh, Delana Unruh and Justin Brokar.
Funeral services will be Monday, August 17, 2009 at 10:30 am at the Greensburg Mennonite Church with Rev. Jeffrey D. Blackburn presiding. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery, Greensburg. Friends may call from 5 – 7 p.m. on Sunday at the church.
