Ruth was born in Spokane, WA, the daughter of the late Rev. Ellis T. and Ferne Cook.  She graduated high school from Haviland, Kansas, in 1965.  She also attended Iola Junior College.  She was a member of Haviland Friends Church. Also in 1965 she married Ronald Rich of Greensburg, Kansas.  In 1966 a son Kevin was born and the family lived in Greensburg until 1972 before moving to Windsor, Colorado
   Mrs. Rich was employed by Hewlett Packard for 28 years.  When she was not working at H – P she enjoyed working at the family business, Wild West Cattle, which raises bucking bulls and produces bull riding events. 
   Her grandsons Ryder and Roper Rich, were the light of her life.  Her enjoyment came from going to their sporting and rodeo events all over Colorado. 
   Survivors: Her husband Ron Rich, a son Kevin Rich and wife Amy, and two  grandsons  Ryder  and Roper Rich, all of Eaton, Colorado, a brother Chilson Cook of Newton, KS, and a sister in law Sonya Cook of West Plains, MO.
   Preceded in death by: Her parents: Ellis and Ferne Cook, a stepfather Clarence Cook, a brother, Theron Cook: a grandson and grand daughter.
   Services and Inurnment: June 12, 2008, 2 pm at Soldier Creek Cemetery, Belvidere, Kansas.
   Notes:  Memorials may be in her name at the Bank of Colorado in Eaton.
