Abrams put to rest Monday in Lewis

MULLINVILLE — William “Willie” J. Abrams, 78, died July 9, 2008, at Veterans Administration Center, Long Beach, Calif. He was born June 9, 1930, at Cimarron. A longtime Bloomington, Calif., resident, he had spent his summers in Mullinville and winters in Bloomington. He was a mechanic.
He served in the U.S. Navy from 1947-1951.
Survivors include a son, four daughters, two brothers, one sister, 15 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Graveside service, with military rites, will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the Wayne Cemetery, Lewis. There is no public visitation. Minnis Mortuary, Bucklin, is in charge of arrangements.
