Myrtle Kinser dead at 95

Haviland - Myrtle Anna Kinser, 95 died Sunday, August 16, 2009 at Presbyterian Manor in Newton.  She was born February 11, 1914 in Stevens County, Kansas, the daughter of Horace and Viola Smith Wheeler.
 
She was married to Elrie Kinser on March 25, 1934 at the Bethel Friends Church.  They moved many times during the early years of their marriage finding work with different farmers.  In 1945 they settled with their family and farmed in Stevens County, KS, until their retirement in 1977 to Haviland, KS. They moved to the Presbyterian Manor in Newton, KS in 2007.
 
Survivors include her husband, Elrie Kinser; four sons and daughters-in-law, Harold and Mary Ann Kinser of Sun City West, AZ; Merl and Eunice Kinser of Coyle, OK; Delmar and Phyllis Kinser of Newton, KS; and Irvin and Jean Kinser of Bonner Springs, KS; nine Grandchildren; six Great Grandchildren; one brother, Floyd Wheeler of Pratt, KS; and, many other relatives and friends. Myrtle was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Harold Wheeler, Leslie Wheeler, and Clarence Wheeler; and her sister, Gertrude Bushweiler.
 
Funeral Services for Myrtle Kinser will be held on Thursday, August 20, 2009 at 10:30 a.m., at the Haviland Friends Church in Haviland, KS, with Pastor John Havens presiding.  Burial will follow at the Haviland Cemetery.  The family requests donations are made in her memory to either Barclay College or Gideons International, both in care of Fleener Funeral Home, 514 S. Main Street, Greensburg, KS 67054.
