While the keynote address of Bill Snyder may have been the highlight of Monday night’s Honor Roll Banquet, the primary purpose of honoring the 42 students qualifying to attend the event was accomplished near the conclusion of the evening, students being called to the front by class and awarded individual certificates by school counselor Sue Greenleaf.
   Before calling off the names Greensburg High Principal Randy Fulton reminded those present of the recent academic success of GHS, whereby the school was one of only 19 high schools in the state to have qualified for the status of academic excellence in testing the year before.
   Being one of the 19 out of 376 statewide high schools “means our students scored in the top five percent of Kansas high schools,” Fulton said.  He said such an accomplishment was a testament to the efforts of students and teachers alike.
   Following are the honor roll students of the past year, organized by class.
