To the voters of Kiowa County,
I am taking this opportunity to formally announce that I am running for the office of Kiowa
County Clerk. My name is Marilyn Brown and I have lived in Greensburg for 22 years.
Currently I hold the position of Register of Deeds of which I was appointed in 2008 and then elected to in the 2008 county election. Before that, I worked in the Appraiser's office for 8 years. I also
held positions on various boards - most recently our Kiowa County school.

I take pride in my office and thoroughly enjoy working for the county. I run my office by the rules and statutes of the state of Kansas. I treat everyone equal and I am here for the taxpayer, to help
you in any way I can.

All of my prior education from the Appraiser's office and the Register of Deeds office will onlv
help me in the office of the County Clerk. These three offices, as well as the County Treasurer's office, all
need to work together as one to benefit the taxpayer.
The main thing I want you the public to know is that I will be available and willing to help you
and that my office door will always be open to you and to the employees of the courthouse.

With all the experience, knowledge, and extension education I have accumulated working for
Kiowa County for the past 12 years, I feel I am needed in the Clerk's office.
I am ready, willing, and able to hold the position of Kiowa County Clerk. I would appreciate your
vote.

Sincerely,
 Marilyn Brown
