Mae Unruh, 90, died October 29, 2011 at the Carriage House of Greensburg. She was born July 19, 1921 in Greensburg, the daughter of Fred H. and Nina (Nightingale) Koehn. A lifetime resident of Greensburg, Mae was a homemaker. She attended school at Greensburg and was a member of the Bethel Mennonite Church, Greensburg. On May 31, 1942, Mae married Allen Unruh at Greensburg. He preceded her in death July 22, 2000. She is survived by a son Richard Unruh, Tucson, Arizona, two daughters Kathleen Wedel and husband Marlin, Transylvania, Louisiana, and Starla McClain and husband Jerry, Greensburg, four brothers LaVern Koehn, Colorado Springs, Colorado, Manford Koehn and wife Shirley, Greensburg, Wilton Ray Koehn and wife Cindy, Wichita, Kansas, and Larry Koehn and wife Madeline, Neodeshea, Kansas, two sisters Juanita Schmidt and husband Allen, Hesston, Kansas, and Mourine Unruh and husband Cecil, Hutchinson, Kansas, fifteen Grandchildren, fifteen Great-grandchildren, and one Great-great-grandchild. Mae was also preceded in death by a Granddaughter Heidi McClain, two brothers Jake and Lewellyn Koehn and a sister Aline Koehn. Funeral services will be held 2:30, p.m. Wednesday, November 2, 2011 at the Bethel Church, Greensburg, with Ministers Mark Dirks and Rod Nace officiating. Burial will follow in Bethel Memorial Garden. Visitation will be held 6:00-8:00 p.m. Tuesday at the church. Memorials are suggested to South Wind Hospice and Valley View Christian School, Greensburg, both in care of Fleener Funeral Home, 514 S. Main St., Greensburg, Kansas, 67054.
