South Central beats Lady Mavs in key league game

The Kiowa County Lady Mavericks dropped a key league game to the South Central Timberwolves in tournament play on Monday.

The Lady Mavs had trouble containing the South Central; offensive game and only managed to win one quarter in the 51-28 loss.

Angela Liggett, led the team in scoring shooting a perfect 4-for-4 from the field in her 9-point performance that included 4 rebounds and a steal. Katelynn Gamble had a respectable 8-point game shooting .500 percent from the free throw line on four attempts.

The loss dropped the Lady Mavericks to the five spot in the league behind Bucklin.
