• The Kiowa County High School basketball team will host South Gray Friday, Feb. 17. The junior varsity boys will play a game at 4:45 p.m. in the Auxiliary Gym, followed by the C boys. The junior varsity girls will play in the Varsity Gym.

The varsity girls will play at 6:30 p.m. in the Varsity Gym. Senior recognition will follow the game. The varsity boys will play at 8 p.m. in the Varsity Gym. Little Pesters will perform at halftime of the boys' game.

• The PG-rated comedy-drama, "A Dog's Purpose," will be shown at 7:30 p.m., Feb. 17 and 18 and at 2:30 p.m. Feb. 19 at the Twilight Theatre.

In the film, a devoted dog (Josh Gad) discovers the meaning of its own existence through the lives of the humans it teaches to laugh and love. Reincarnated as multiple canines over the course of five decades, the lovable pooch develops an unbreakable bond with a kindred spirit named Ethan (Bryce Gheisar). As the boy grows older and comes to a crossroad, the dog once again comes back into his life to remind him of his true self.

• The Third annual Gamma Beta Quartermania Jewelry Auction is scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 18 from 2 to 5 p.m. at the Pratt County 4-H Building. This year's theme is Mardi Gras. Wear your purples, greens and golds and prepare to have fun. Masks and beads will be provided, along with a bidding paddle. A fabulous dessert bar will be featured along with a delicious variety of appetizers and cocktails to keep the party going all afternoon. Don't forget to bring plenty of quarters for bidding on beautiful pieces of jewelry. A new addition this year will be our silent auction. Tickets will be available soon from any Gamma Beta member.

• The Pratt Community College basketball will host Butler Community College. The women's team will play at 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 12 followed by the men at 4 p.m.
