The Kiowa County Commissioners approved a slate of annual business during their Jan 17 meeting.
County Resolution 2012-1 designated Don Richards as chairman and John Unruh as vice-chairman. The official depositories of county funds shall be Greensburg Sate Bank, Haviland State Bank, Centera Bank and The People’s Bank.
The official county newspaper will be The Kiowa County Signal.
The official county holidays will be: Jan. 2 New Year’s, Jan. 16 Martin Luther King Day, April 6 (Good Friday), May 28 (Memorial Day), July 4 (Independence Day) Sept. 3 (Labor Day), Nov. 12 (Veterans Day), Nov. 22 and 23 (Thanksgiving Day and the day after Thanksgiving), Dec. 24 and Dec. 25 (Christmas Day).
The resolution also set county official’s salaries. Each commissioner will make $15,253.26; County Clerk $36,582.57; Treasurer $35,654.08; Register of Deeds $34,268.74; Sheriff $38,951.70 and County Attorney $40,134.72.
