Before I hop on the proverbial “be good to your body” soapbox regarding individual health responsibility, I will petition you good people to do a little Internet homework. Put into your favorite search engine the words “Codex Alimentarius” (or you may also try the acronym, CAC), which is Latin for “food rules.”
More so now than ever, it is all important for health proponents/advocates (which should include ALL of us!) to “get” the connection between “Codex” and our personal ability to achieve some measurable semblance of health for the remainder of our lives. To have the freedom to DO what (after scrupulous and unrelenting research, perhaps) we think best regarding our bodies via foodstuffs, supplement (vitamins and minerals) is a long-standing freedom that may just disappear before our very eyes due to the fact that “the powers that be” know we keep them closed most of the time. This effort to virtually “take away” our supplements has been ongoing for years, but this time there are some heavyweights involved such as the UN, World Health Organization and the World Trade Commission. The brunt of this atrocity, authored in the name of “consumer protection,” is to bolster trade and profits for the multinational corporations (which is a natural fit to the “new world order” and is in direct conflict with individual freedom). This “monster law,” as I call it, is based on the Napoleanic Code, which, yes, you are right ... Bonaparte! Under his code, anything not explicitly devised/approved/invented by him was forbidden. Thus, one could say that, by default, natural health options will be banned. This law will allow us only 28 vitamins/supplements and even at that they will be via prescription and VERY LOW dosages allowed, in other words, an impotent amount.
This threat is real and it will be very cleverly accomplished by December 2010 if we don’t collectively discuss this with friends and colleagues urging them to fight this via online petitions/form letters to our government. A good educational site for this topic is www.axisoflogic.com (refer to article entitled “Health Warning: Codex Alimentarius is Coming,” by Special Report, April 29, 2005. This is a comprehensive and exceptionally written article that should spur us all to signing the online petition that can be found in the upper right hand corner of the site www.healthfreedomusa.org. Those of you without the Internet just ask one of your friends who has the Internet to keep you in the loop on this.
