Better Business Bureau serving Nebraska, South Dakota, the Kansas Plains and Southwest Iowa has issued a Business Alert warning on Missouri-based company, T & K Chemicals.
Better Business Bureau serving Nebraska, South Dakota, the Kansas Plains and Southwest Iowa has issued a Business Alert warning that T & K Chemicals, a Bogard Missouri-based company that manufactures and sells industrial cleaning products is the subject of unanswered complaints to BBB. Complainants say they haven’t received promised refunds for the product that they claim does not work as demonstrated.
An Omaha trucking firm contacted BBB about a salesperson from T & K Chemicals that recently came to their company. The business owner stated that she originally had contact with T & K Chemicals when they purchased 2 gallons of cleaner for $214 in February, 2013. The product did not work as demonstrated by the salesman on that day, and the trucking company filed a complaint with BBB in Kansas City. The complaint was closed as unanswered. In spite of this complaint, the company returned to try to sell them their product again.
According to Kansas City BBB, T & K Chemicals has an F rating due to 7 unanswered complaints all stating that the chemical cleaning product purchased does not work as promised. Also the complainants allege they were submitted to high pressure sales tactics, and they were assured refunds if not satisfied. When the chemical company is called, some complainants report that they receive a promise of picking up the product and of issuing a refund, but claim that the company has not honored these promises. Other callers to T & K Chemicals state that they get a recorded message that the mail box is full and no messages can be taken.
On Thursday, June 12th, BBB left a voice mail message for the company’s Owner Robbie Ray informing him that this Business Alert had been written, and it would be released to the media if he did not respond by June 13th to BBB regarding the complaints filed against his company. BBB also spoke with a manager who said he’d “get word” to Mr. Ray and promised a response. As of Monday, June 16th, there has been no return call. BBB left another message for Mr. Ray stating that because he did not take the opportunity to reply, this alert was going to be issued.
