  • The Spearville Royal Lancers completed their regular season Friday night with a 53-41 Southern Plains-Iroquois Activities Association road victory over the Kiowa County Mavericks.
    Nathan Stein scored 18 points to lead Spearville (13-7) while Reegan Kliessen and Kaden Stein added 13 apiece in the win.
    Michael Tedder scored 15 points to lead Kiowa County (6-14).

    Morgan Davis scored 18 and Ryan Friesen 12 in the win for the Buffaloes (17-3).
    The Bulldogs (9-11) were led in scoring by Diego Leyva with 13.

    SATANTA — The Indians scored 22 points and allowed only two field goals in the first quarter on the way to the home win over the Wildcats.
    Garrett Miller scored 16 points to lead Satanta (10-10) while Jesus Garcia 15 and Trathen Stanfill 11 for the Indians.
    Joey Harrington scored 11 points to lead the Wildcats (5-14).

    Rachel Slattery scored 13 points to lead Spearville (10-9). No other Lady Lancer scored more than four in the loss.

    MEADE — The Lady Buffaloes led by 12 at halftime and outscored the Lady Bulldogs 43-13 in the second half to record the Hi-Plains League victory.
    Jaylin Stapleton scored 17 points to lead Meade (16-4), while Tarah Wiens added 12 and Bailey Olvera 10 for the Lady Buffaloes.
    Kassie Baera scored 10 to lead Syracuse (9-11).

    The two teams will meet again in a Class 1A-Division I girls sub-state semifinal in Jetmore.
