  • Peter Kern’s industrial technology students received numerous awards at last week’s Tech Fair held at Fort Hays State University. “We did really well,” said Kern. “The freshmen did especially well, they recieved medals on all of their furniture.” The sophomore and freshman rolling pin project received several awards and the multi-pupil project received the Dennis McKee Award for Most Outstanding Multi-Pupil Project Award. Hannah Brown’s china cabinet won the Fred Ruda Legacy Award for the best project at the fair. The award is voted on by the instructors and FHSU staff in attendance. “I am very proud of our students’ hard work this year and great job at the fair. We are planning on having projects on display for the awards night on May 14.
