Friends University in Wichita has awarded Kaelie Kendall, daughter of Ryan and Hannah Kendall of Haviland, with a Fine Arts scholarship for art.
She is a Kiowa County High School senior and will graduate this spring.
She will be honored for her outstanding abilities in Fine Arts at the annual Fine Arts scholarship ceremony on Apr. 12.
Fine Arts scholarships are reserved for talented young artists who have proven themselves and have outstanding potential to earn an undergraduate degree at Friends University.
The Division of Fine Arts at Friends University aims to help students grow and harness their skills to become passionate, communicative artists with the ability to relay their passion for the arts. “We are excited to have Kaelie join our creative culture at Friends University,” said Dr. Stephen Eaves, Chair of the Division of Fine Arts.
