Robert D. Preble "Bob", 63, of Webb City, MO, passed away on February 23, 2013 after a battle with cancer.
A memorial service is scheduled for April 26, 2013 at the Community Building in Greensburg, KS at 1:00pm. Gene Glenn of Joplin, MO will be officiating the service.
Bob was born in Neodesha, KS. on 07-12-1949. He is a former marine and served his country honorably in the Vietnam War.
Bob worked in the Natural Gas Pipeline Industry for 38 years. Bob enjoyed hunting; fishing, woodworking and the occasional visit to the casino. During the course of his life he was an active leader with the Boy Scouts of America, a volunteer firefighter, and a member of the VFW.
Bob is survived by his wife of 23 years , Lavonna. His mother Betty Hogan of Greensburg, Ks. His brothers; Randy "Jake”, Dean "Deanie” and Michael "Mike” Preble. His children; Shane and Rhonda Preble, Josh and Laurie Preble, Brandi LeClair, Laura and Shawn Bender and Barry and Krystal Wingfield. His grandchildren: Amanda, Chance, Wyatt, Haylie, Naomi, Lance, Dylan, Rachel, Emma, Caden, Kayla, Kayl, Grace, and Khiley and other family, friends and "Bud" his faithful feline.
Bob is preceded in death by father Robert Leroy Preble and grandson Tristen Bender.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to Greensburg State Bank, 240 S. Main Greensburg, Ks. 67054. Donations will be distributed to St. Jude’s and Kiowa County Boy Scouts. Please specify which place donations are for.
