  • If there was one thing Jeopardy! contestant Leonard Cooper wasn't lacking when he went into the championships of the game show's teen tournament Tuesday, it was confidence.

Cooper, a senior from Little Rock, Ark., first solidified his position as the frontrunner by risking $18,000 of his $18,200 on a Daily Double wager - a move host Alex Trebek called "gutsy." But it paid off, as Cooper's knowledge that the titular men in the play 12 Angry Men were serving on a jury brought his total to $36,200.

Fall TV Scorecard: What's renewed? What's canceled?

Heading into Final Jeopardy, where the category was "Military Men," Cooper had $37,000, more than double the amount held either of his opponents - meaning that, as long as he wagered nothing, he was guaranteed to win regardless of correctly answering the clue.

The clue was: "On June 6, 1944, he said, 'The eyes of the world are upon you.'" His response? "Who is some guy in Normandy, but I just won $75,000!"

Though Cooper didn't know the correct answer, he did know that he had enough money to take home the top prize of $75,000. (For the record, the correct response was Dwight D. Eisenhower.)
