Marjorie Helen Davis, 88 (formerly of Leoti, Ks) passed away January 12, 2013 in Kiowa County Memorial Hospital, Greensburg, Kansas. She was born in Greensburg, Kansas on September 19, 1924, the daughter of Roy and Ethel (Cobb) Smith, of rural Greensburg, Kansas. She attended rural country school and graduated from Greensburg High School in 1942. Marjorie was a homemaker, and a custom harvester. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Greensburg, and Gideon's International.
On May 6 1944, Marjorie married Dale Davis. Dale preceded her in death May 30, 2011. Survivors include three sons; Darold and wife Debbie of Broken Arrow, Ok; Kenneth and wife Joyce of Dodge City, Ks; and Robert and wife Venette of Beloit Ks; eight Grandchildren; five Great Grandchildren and one brother; Ray Smith of Hesston, Ks. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother Walter Smith, a sister Mary Hayse, daughters-in-law Carol and Merlene Davis, and a granddaughter-in-law Belen Davis.
Funeral Service and celebration of Marjorie's life will be held 1:30 p.m., Thursday, January 17, 2013, at the First United Methodist Church, Greensburg with Rev. Glenn Fogo presiding. Interment followed in Fairview Cemetery, Greensburg. The family received friends from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Wednesday at Fleener Funeral Home.
