  • We have several questions we need answered and we hope we can get some responses to them.

First, when are the ugly plants (weeds) on Main Street going to be mowed down? They are unsightly and need some attention bad. When pulling up to the intersection of Main and Florida in a small vehicle and you look south, these plants block your view of oncoming traffic. When are we going to take care of them? When something serious happens? Let’s put some beauty in these planters like flowers.
Also on north Main Street those planters in front of the Post Office need some serious attention. They need to be filled; someone is going to fall into them. Are we waiting for that to happen?
When are we going to get the holes that were once occupied by basements filled in? We have unwanted critters living in them, and children playing in them. It's been 5 years now and it's time something gets done.
We live on East Garfield next to the property owned by Steve Hewitt. We have contacted the city several times over this issue and seem to get the runaround. After the tornado Steve allowed a contractor to put a 5th wheel camper on this ground to live in and he also allowed him to bury a sewage tank there. The pipe is sticking up out of the ground.
When we asked the city about getting it dug up they asked us ‘is it
leaking?’  So we’re going to wait for that to happen before we dig it up? It's not even capped. Can do that for my
5th wheel camper?
