  • Bears Volleyball had moments of brilliance this last week. On Tuesday night they played NAIA Southwestern Christian (Bethany, OK) in Haviland and then on Friday they traveled to Ankeny, IA to play Faith Baptist Bible College.
The Eagles of Southwestern Christian were able to overcome a shaky first few points and run away with the first set 25-14, but the Bears stormed back in the second set 25-15. In the pivotal third set, the Eagles reestablished themselves to win 25-12. It was back and forth action in the fourth set before the Eagles created a gap late in the set to win 25-20.
The MCCC second place Eagles of FBBC proved to be a tough out Friday night. Action was back and forth throughout the match with multiple long rallies, good attacking and hustle from both sides. However, the Bears inconsistency was too much to overcome as the Eagles won 25-13, 25-17, and 25-19.
BC Bears Volleyball (3-8, 1-4) will play Ozark Christian College in Joplin, MO at 7:00 PM CST on Friday night. Then on Saturday, the Bears will take on Baptist Bible College in Springfield, MO at 1:00 PM.
