Young says new team, defense is focus

As the days get longer and the opening school bells echo across harvested corn fields, Maverick Football fans are pulling their burnt orange hoodies out of the closet, dusting off their foam fingers and looking forward to the 2012-2013 season. With a sub .500 season in the rearview and an exodus of some top players from last season, the Mavericks are looking for a new identity.
