The Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference released preseason honors for several fall sports on Thursday.

Among those selections, two Spires athletes were recognized. Amelia Noll was picked for the 2012 Preseason All-KCAC Volleyball Team, while Stephanie Chapman was chosen for the 2012 Preseason All-KCAC Women’s Soccer Team.

Noll, a senior from Nortonville, Kan., was a 2011 All-KCAC first-team selection as well as the 2011 Libero of the Year in the KCAC. She led the conference with 825 digs, averaging just under eight per set. Nationally, Noll ranked sixth in total digs and first in digs per game with 7.86.

Chapman, a senior defender from Gerald, Mo., was an All-KCAC second-team selection in 2011, where she started 17 games.

In late June, two members of the Saint Mary football team, Mike Keese and Cris Basch, were selected for the 2012 Preseason All-KCAC Football Team. Basch was one of four players chosen unanimously.
