Gladys Hubert Williams, 78, passed away on March 20, 2012 in Corona, Calif. Gladys was born December 12, 1934, to Olie and Ione Hubert on their farm Southeast of Greensburg, Kansas. She grew up on the farm and graduated from Greensburg High School in 1952. She married Bill Williams in 1956 and lived in Colorado and Pennsylvania before settling, with her husband and two daughters, in Southern California. Gladys was a loving and wonderful wife, mother and grandmother. Her quick wit and fabulous sense of humor stayed with her right up to the end. We will miss her smile, her warmth and her wonderful home cooking that neither of her daughters seem to be able to replicate. She was adored by everyone who knew her. She was one of the most caring and selfless women of our time. She loved children, animals, gardening, cheering for her favorite sports team, and good books. Gladys had a strong spirit and a big heart. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her. She was a truly special lady.
Gladys is survived by: husband Bill; daughter Lori and her husband Bill Smith; daughter Juli and her husband James Haupt; grandson Blake Haupt; sister Joyce Hubert Keith and her husband Jim Keith; and brother Gene Hubert and his wife Marilyn.
