Edward Dauber, Jr., died February 22, 2012, at Kiowa County Memorial Hospital, Greensburg. He was born September 10, 1932, in Bunker Hill, Kansas, the son of Edward, Sr. and Iva (Chenowerth) Dauber. Ed had lived in Bunker Hill, Russell and Greensburg since 1948. Ed graduated from Greensburg High School in 1951. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He retired from Panhandle Eastern Pipeline Co. as a Measurement Technician. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, V.F.W. and the American Legion, all of Greensburg. On December 27, 1955, Ed married Beverly Moody in Clayton, New Mexico. She survives. Other survivors include two sons Gerald and wife Sheila Dauber, Greensburg, and Keith Dauber, Waverly, Kansas, eight Grandchildren and fourteen Great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother Ted Dauber and a sister Louise Helcher. Funeral Mass and celebration of Ed's life were held at 10:00 a.m. Monday February 27, 2012 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Greensburg, with Father Bob Schriver officiating. Burial with military honors followed in Fairview Cemetery, Greensburg. A visitation was held 5:00-7:00 p.m. Sunday at the church, a vigil and rosary followed at 7:00.
