Chili Cook-Off

The Iroquois Center is sponsoring a Chili cook-off and brownie battle from 5-7 p.m. on Friday March 2 at the Kiowa County Community building in Greensburg. Judging begins at 5 p.m. The entry fee is $20 for chili cookers and there will be five prizes in three categories. Tickets are $5 for all-you-can-eat chili and one vote. Huelskamp Town Hall

Congressman Tim Huelskamp will hold a town hall meeting at 9 a.m. on Thursday Feb. 23 at the community building, next to the big red barn at 720 N. Bay St. in Greensburg.


Tornado Stories

The Big Well Museum is looking for residents to record their stories for the new museum. Residents are encouraged to come to the Kiowa County Media Center in the Commons building from 1-5 p.m. on March 1, and 9-10:30 a.m. on March 2 to record audio of their stories. The Kiowa County Memorial Hospital and the Kiowa County Health Department will hold a community town hall meeting from 9 to 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday Feb. 21 in the basement conference room in the Kiowa County Courthouse.
