One day He asked His disciples for the word on the street (Luke 9:18-27). Jesus aimed to do more than start a movement, liberate the Jewish people or overthrow Rome. He came to reveal God, to introduce His kingdom and to bring His lost children home. “’But what about you?’ he asked. ‘Who do you say I am?’” Did they get it? He knew what people were saying about Him. More importantly, He wanted to know what the disciples believed--to declare their faith in Him as Lord.
