Greensburg- Patricia Lynn "Pat" Jones, 56, died February 13, 2011 in Wesley Medical Center, Wichita, Kansas. She was born Dec. 9, 1954 in Tyndall, South Dakota, the daughter of Lawrence James, Sr. and Velma Kathryn Perkins Flakus. She was an auto parts sales and inventory clerk for Greensburg Farm Supply. Pat had lived in South Dakota, Wellsville, Kansas, and Greensburg since 1978. She graduated from Wellsville High School in 1973, and attended Dental College in Emporia, Kansas.
On August 12, 1979, Pat married Charles Jones in Greensburg. He survives. Other survivors include a son Jesse Jones, Greensburg, two daughters Jolena Bruce and husband Ben, Great Bend, Kansas, and Ashli Miller, Lafayette, Colorado, four Grand-children Dylan and Damian Jones, Ethan Bruce and Sadie Miller, four brothers Lawrence Flakus, Jr., Wellsville, Richard Flakus, Ramsey, Minnesota, Charles Flakus, Kansas City, Kansas, and Eugene Flakus, Lawrence, Kansas, three sisters Sharon Haupt, Lawrence, Mary Arnett, Pamona, Kansas, and Barbara Flakus, Overland Park, Kansas, Pat was preceded in death by her father and a sister Cecelia Flakus.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday, February 17, 2011 at the Greensburg Mennonite Church, with Rev. Jeffrey D. Blackburn officiating. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery, Mullinville, Kansas. Memorials are suggested to the American Lung Association in care of Fleener Funeral Home, 514 S. Main St., Greensburg, Kansas, 67054.
